  1. I have windows home 10 version 1709, I have lost internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPV4). when I try to load I get this message that I have to change group policy, which is no longer on windows 10 home. So I been thinking of going back to version 1703 and see if that helps to recover IPV4.

  2. how can I revert from 1709 back to 1703? I do not have that back to earlier version button as it already after 10 days of installation. perhaps should I reinstall? and how to do it?

    1. Hey Jack,
There is no any official option to revert back to Windows version 1709 to 1703 after 30 days. And there is also no any official way to stop Windows update in Windows 10.
So I recommend you to install the latest update of Windows Fall Creators Update. And after that i hope you feel happy in using your Windows.

  3. i had windows 10 for over a year and still nothing but trouble with it . would I have to install a clean copy of windows 8 to get rid of windows 10 ? and how would I do it

    1. @George
Simply you have to download the ISO image file of Windows 8 from the official website of Microsoft.
And then copy it to a bootable drive or DVD then restart your pc into boot mode and then install the OS.
But I think Windows 10 is better than Windows 8.

  4. Doesn’t work as settings is completely blank in 1709 update. Start button doesn’t do anything now, there is no way to power down the computer from the start menu (there is no start menu when you click the start button now), when you try typing in the Cortana search nothing shows up. Printer no longer works on my brand new HP laptop, just bought a month ago. Everything is also suddenly very slow. This 1709 update is the worst disaster Microsoft ever released, and that’s saying something!

    1. @James
If possible, then try to reset your PC once. Go to Settings > Update and Security > Recovery > Reset This PC.
But one thing I want to say that I have also a HP laptop with 1709 update and there is no problem at all except one problem in Microsoft edge browser.
I recommend you to format your PC and do a fresh install.
Hope you fix your issue by Installing a fresh image of Windows.

  5. I have one computer that is having issues with Updates since it moved to 1709. I have tried new updates since then, but they always fail. I have had no issues with any other computer.

  6. Also, the same computer is hung up in trying to update the VS signature. I have restarted this computer several times, but that does not resolve the issues.
